Ocean Scientific International Ltd. (OSIL) has installed a network of 8 monitoring buoys off the coast of Abu Dhabi, UAE, in support of environmental monitoring.
The coastal buoys were equipped with multiparameter sondes for water quality monitoring, and GPRS telemetry equipment.
The buoys are installed in water depths ranging from 6 meters to 16 meters, in various locations along the UAE coastline amid extensive coral formations and seagrass beds.
The buoys are designed for extended deployment in coastal environments in a range of water depths.
