REN’s Sines LNG import terminal on Portugal’s Atlantic coast is scheduled to receive a cargo of liquefied natural gas next week.
According to the data provided by the Port of Sines, the 175,000-cbm carrier LNG Port-Harcourt II departed Nigeria LNG facility on Bonny Island and is set to dock at the terminal on February 1.
The vessel transporting the cargo was delivered to Bonny Gas Transport (BGT), a unit of Nigeria LNG, at the end of 2015, from the South Korean shipbuilder Samsung Heavy Industries.
NLNG’s Bonny Island facility has the capacity to produce 22 mtpa of liquefied natural gas from its six trains.
The Sines LNG terminal located on Portugal’s Atlantic coast in the industrial area of Sines port has a nominal sendout capacity of 600,000 cubic meters per hour (5.26 bcm per year), with a peak capacity of 900,000 cubic meters per hour.
