REN’s Sines LNG import terminal on Portugal’s Atlantic coast is scheduled to receive a cargo of liquefied natural gas over the weekend.
According to the Port of Sines shipping data, the 141,000-cbm carrier LNG River Niger is scheduled to deliver its cargo on February 4.
The vessel transporting the cargo was delivered to Bonny Gas Transport (BGT), a unit of Nigeria LNG, in 2006, from the South Korean shipbuilder Hyundai Heavy Industries.
NLNG’s Bonny Island facility has the capacity to produce 22 mtpa of liquefied natural gas from its six trains.
The Sines LNG terminal located on Portugal’s Atlantic coast in the industrial area of Sines port has a nominal sendout capacity of 600,000 cubic meters per hour (5.26 bcm per year), with a peak capacity of 900,000 cubic meters per hour.
