Renewable energy developer DP Energy has appointed three advisers to its Board, and a new Chief Legal Officer.

The newly appointed advisers to the Board are James Nyhan, Michael Walsh, and Stephen Williams.

Also, Marie Mackenzie joined DP Energy from Nordex Acciona Windpower as the company’s new Chief Legal Officer.

Simon De Pietro , DP Energy’s Managing Director, said: “After more than 20 years in the renewables sector with completed projects and ongoing developments in onshore wind, solar, electricity storage and tidal across three continents, and with plans to extend our interests into offshore wind, the time is right to strengthen both our Board and the DP team.”

When it comes to tidal energy, DP Energy is developing a 100MW tidal energy project off Fair Head, Northern Ireland, with Bluepower as project partner, who together form Fair Head Tidal joint venture.

Across the Atlantic, under the partnership with Atlantis Resources, DP Energy plans to deploy a 4.5MW multi-turbine array at the Fundy Ocean Research Centre for Energy (FORCE) facility in the Bay of Fundy, Nova Scotia, Canada.

Also, DP Energy recently teamed up with Floating Power Platform to develop projects in Scotland and Wales that would incorporate hybrid technology capable of harnessing the energy from both winds and waves.
