French LNG containment specialist GTT received an order from Samsung Heavy Industries to equip Höegh LNG’s FSRUs with its Mark III cryogenic membrane containment system.

According to the company’s statement, the order includes one firm and three optional FSRUs.

The vessels will be built at SHI’s shipyards in South Korea, with each having a storage capacity of 170,000-cbm and a regasification capacity of 750 MMscf/day.

In January, Höegh LNG signed a shipbuilding contract with Samsung Heavy Industries for one FSRU and three optional units.

The firm FSRU is scheduled for delivery in May 2109, while the optional units would be delivered with six months intervals from the delivery of the firm vessel.
