Wavepower is looking for a Correlation Engineer with previous experience on both physical and numerical test work to drive forward the development of wave energy technology.

The Correlation Engineer will join Wavepower’s correlation team, responsible for ensuring that the numerical modelling and test lab provide accurate predictions of the wave energy converter and subsystem behaviors by cross comparing the data with sea trial and other physical scale test data.

The key objective of the role is to support the correlation of activities of the numerical, tank and physical scale testing.

Some of the responsibilities for the position include correlating numerical or sea trial data and analyzing the data for discrepancies and its causes, as well as supporting the plans regarding the execution and analysis of sea trials and commercial projects.

Wavepower is a Somerset-based private investor in wave energy industry, currently engaged in research and development activities on a wave energy technology with the aim to accelerate the development of the sector.
