Norway-based Höegh LNG’s FSRU Höegh Grace began commercial operations in Cartagena, Colombia at the end of last year.
The Höegh Grace, used as Colombia’s first LNG import terminal, started operating under the 20-year contract Höegh LNG has with Sociedad Portuaria El Cayao (SPEC), after completing the regasification trials.
The FSRU arrived in Colombia in the beginning of November and received its first cargo shortly after as part of its commissioning phase.
The vessel has the capacity to transport 170,000-cbm of LNG and is able to regasify 500 mmscf/d of the chilled fuel.
Höegh LNG recently released a video of the ship-to-ship LNG transfer in Cartagena when BP’s liquefied natural gas carrier British Innovator, with the capacity to transport 138,283 cubic meters of the chilled fuel, docked alongside the FSRU.
