Carnegie Clean Energy (CCE) has appointed John Davidson as its Executive Director.

The appointment of John Davidson, who is also Managing Director of Energy Made Clean (EMC), follows the acquisition of EMC by Carnegie in December 2016.

CCE bought the solar and battery microgrid developer EMC to expand its interests across solar, battery and microgrids, in addition to wave energy sector.

Davidson brings to Carnegie’s Board more than 30 years’ experience leading major strategic business initiatives and business transformation in a diverse range of industries, particularly the renewable energy and technology sectors.

Michael Ottaviano , Managing Director of CCE, said: “I am delighted to welcome John to the Carnegie Board as we continue to diversify within the renewable energy sector. We are fortunate to have retained John’s expertise both within EMC, as Managing Director, as well as at Board level for Carnegie.”

Davidson also serves as Non-Executive Director on the board of mining company TNG, following the signing of an MoU between EMC and TNG in late 2016.
