GAIL seeking single LNG cargo for March delivery

India’s gas utility GAIL has reportedly issued a tender seeking a cargo of liquefied natural gas for delivery in March.

India’s gas utility GAIL has reportedly issued a tender seeking a cargo of liquefied natural gas for delivery in March.

The cargo would be delivered to the Dahej LNG terminal in the first part of the month, Reuters reports citing sources with knowledge of the tender. The tender closes on February 20.

The Dahej LNG terminal, owned by Petronet LNG has recently commissioned the expanded regasification facilities that increased its handling capacity to 15 mtpa. Petronet noted that the facility reached 98 percent utilization.

The terminal is being further expanded to 17.5 mtpa with works progressing according to schedule.
