Wood Group has secured a global agreement with BP for the provision of conceptual engineering services, pre-front end engineering design (pre-FEED) and FEED engineering services.

The agreement has a contractual duration of three years with an option to extend for two additional years.

Robin Watson , Wood Group’s chief executive, said: “We are very proud of our long-established reputation in carrying out world-class conceptual engineering and studies. We are capable of performing the full spectrum of work through an asset lifecycle: operations & maintenance, modifications, project management, late-life production and decommissioning. Additionally, our Specialist Technical Solutions business provides expertise in asset integrity, automation and control, and developing digital solutions to make client assets run efficiently with the lowest amount of risk and cost.

“This contract demonstrates our years of successful delivery of engineering services from our global offices. We look forward to continuing the strong relationship with BP and appreciate their confidence in us to plan and execute their complex global projects.”

Last year, BP awarded Wood Group a five-year, $500 million engineering, procurement and construction management services contract for work in Azerbaijan. In 2015, BP contracted Wood Group for engineering services related to BP’s existing subsea infrastructure in the Gulf of Mexico, UK and Norwegian continental shelves, and offshore Azerbaijan.
