South Hook liquefied natural gas import terminal on the UK’s shores of Milford Haven waterway is scheduled to receive the second cargo of Qatari LNG at the beginning of March.

Milford Haven Port Authority data shows that one of the world’s largest LNG tankers, the 266,000-cbm Mozah, is scheduled to arrive at South Hook on March 5.

It will be the second Q-Max vessel to deliver liquefied natural gas to the terminal in a period of only two days, since the Q-Max Zarga is scheduled to unload its cargo on March 3.

Gas supply from the South Hook LNG terminal to the UK’s national grid was around 8.50 mcm/day on Tuesday morning, according to the latest National Grid data.

The South Hook terminal owned by Qatar Petroleum, ExxonMobil and Total can process 15.6 million tons of LNG a year and is capable of delivering 21 billion cubic meters of gas a year into the UK’s national transmission system.
