Hamburg Port Authority yesterday released a video named “Creating Space for Container Giants – Last Pile Removed”.

The video celebrates completion of the Vorhafen Harbor Basin Deepening project.

According to the HPA, the deepening of the Vorhafen entry has improved ship access connection to the central port.

Through the deepening the big ships now have more space to maneuver in Tollerort. Secondly the width restriction will now be raised from 32,3 meters to 40 meters.
