Swedish wave energy developer Seabased is looking for new additions to its team with several job openings.

Seabased is recruiting for a certified industrial electrician, laser operator, and CNS operator, among other openings , to drive forward the development of its wave energy technology.

Some of the responsibilities for the position of electrician within Seabased include field work on wave energy power generators and switch-gear connections.

Seabased has, together with Fortum and the Swedish Energy Agency, developed a Sotenäs wave energy plant which comprises 36 Seabased’s wave energy converters with a total capacity of 10MW.

The Sotenäs wave energy demonstration farm, located 8 km northwest of Smögen in Sweden, started delivering power to the Nordic electricity grid in January 2016.

Also, Seabased is supplying its wave energy technology for a wave energy project in Ghana, being developed together with TC’s Energy.

The second commercial order for a further 5MW development of the project sited in Ghana’s Ada Estuary was placed in February last year.
