VNG Norge has awarded front end engineering and design (FEED) contracts for the subsea structures, umbilicals, risers & flowlines, and subsea production systems for the Pil & Bue developments.

The contract for the subsea structures, umbilicals, risers & flowlines (SURF) was awarded to Subsea 7 and TechnipFMC.

The second FEED contract, for subsea production systems was awarded to TecnhipFMC and Aker Solutions .

The FEED awards were based on a pre-qualification of tenderers, VNG Norge, the operator of Pil & Bue, informed.

The studies will culminate in a design competition following which the contract for engineering, procurement, construction and installation (EPCI/EPC) will be awarded in Q4 2017, VNG added.
