Shearwater GeoServices, has received a confirmation from TGS for the optional work program to be conducted offshore Norway.

Shearwater GeoServices is jointly owned by GC Rieber and Rasmussengruppen.

Earlier this year the company entered into agreement with TGS for two seismic surveys, one firm and one optional.

The work is scheduled to start in early Q2, between March and May 2017.

Shearwater said that the surveys will be performed using two of the company’s 3D vessels.

The optional work should add four months of backlog to the fleet, while the firm scope equals to approximately six vessel months.
