Azerbaijan Caspian Shipping CJSC has just announced that repair work on Jan De Nul’s cutter suction dredger Vesalius is currently underway at the Zikh Shipyard in Baku.
The repair operations on the underwater part of the ship have already been completed, the company stated in its announcement.
At the moment, work is being conducted on cleaning the dredger’s pipes and pumps, and the shipyard crew is also repairing the engine fan.
The completion of these repair works and delivery of the vessel to the customer are planned before the end of March, five days before the deadline.
The CSD Vesalius, which was commissioned in 1980, is temporarily sailing under the flag of Kazakhstan, CJCS said.
