ECA Group has secured a contract from Armaments Corporation of South Africa SOC (ARMSCOR) to supply its Astrid diver tracking and distress monitoring system in South Africa.
The contract aims to deliver the system in 2017 and includes a training, the company said.
ECA Group’s Astrid solution is a positioning and distress monitoring system used for diver’s safety.
It has been specifically designed to meet the needs of diving schools.
Astrid performs functions such as management of distress signals, generation and transmission of recall signals, and guiding of rescue.
