IADC’s (International Association of Dredging Companies) 54th International Seminar on Dredging and Reclamation was officially launched yesterday, March 26, in Abu Dhabi.
The 5-day course will be attended by over 30 participants, reports IADC.
According to IADC, the course is aimed to provide an understanding through lectures by experts in the field and workshops, partly conducted on-site in order to give the participants hands-on experience.
This morning the participants will learn more about hoppers, cutters and other dredging equipment. In the afternoon they will visit the Port of Khalifa, climbing on-board two cutter dredgers.
IADC’s member, National Marine Dredging Company, is the organizer of this site visit.
