Philly Shipyard, the U.S. unit of Philly Shipyard ASA on Wednesday said it has delivered the second LNG-ready product tanker for American Petroleum Tankers (APT), a Kinder Morgan unit.

The 50,000 dwt product tanker, named American Freedom, is based on a Hyundai Mipo Dockyards (HMD) design, and has received LNG ready level 1 approval from the American Bureau of Shipping (ABS), Philly Shipyard said.

The 600-foot tanker has a carrying capacity of 14.5 million gallons of crude oil or refined products.

Currently, the shipyard has two additional 50,000 dwt tankers for APT and two 3,600 TEU containerships for Matson Navigation Company under construction.
