Phoenix and Infinity Offshore have formed a joint venture to provide inspection, maintenance, repair (IMR) and decommissioning works in the Australasia region with the atmospheric diving system (ADS) Hardsuit.

The joint venture, operating under the name Infinity Phoenix Subsea, will be based out of Perth, Australia and combines a team of engineering professionals, construction managers and technicians of Infinity Offshore, with Phoenix project managers and ADS operators.

Phoenix president, Patrick Keenan , said: “This joint venture is consistent with Phoenix’s objective of expanding our international presence in support of Oil and Gas clients worldwide. The capabilities of Phoenix’s Hardsuit™ coupled with Infinity’s dedicated and experience personnel will make an ideal pairing.”

Simon Renwick , director of infinity offshore, added: “We are excited about the long term potential of this enterprise and believe that the ADS will be a great asset to our clientele in the Australasia marketplace, drawing upon both the proven technology and professional expertise of both companies.”

Phoenix has used their Hardsuits in the Gulf of Mexico for more than 14 years to perform IMR on offshore oil and gas structures.
