U.S. weekly offshore rig count unaltered

The U.S. offshore rig count was unchanged during last week, the oilfield services provider Baker Hughes reported on Friday. The U.S. offshore rig count was unchanged during last week, the oilfield services provider Baker Hughes reported on Friday.

BHI Rig Count: U.S. +15 to 839 rigs

U.S. Rig Count is up 15 rigs from last week to 839, with oil rigs up 10 to 672, gas rigs up 5 to 165, and miscellaneous rigs unchanged at 2.

U.S. Rig Count is up 396 rigs from last year’s count of 443, with oil rigs up 318, gas rigs up 76, and miscellaneous rigs up 2.

The U.S. Offshore Rig Count is unchanged from last week at 22 and down 3 rigs year over year.

BHI Rig Count: Canada -23 to 132 rigs

Canadian Rig Count is down 23 rigs from last week to 132, with oil rigs down 13 to 42 and gas rigs down 10 to 90.

Canadian Rig Count is up 91 rigs from last year’s count of 41, with oil rigs up 34 and gas rigs up 57.
