WES hunts for control systems advisors

Wave Energy Scotland (WES) is looking to appoint a number of independent advisors to support the organization in its wave energy control systems call.

Wave Energy Scotland (WES) is looking to appoint a number of independent advisors to support the organization in its wave energy control systems call.

The qualified individuals, organizations or consortia will act as independent third party advisors working with the WES team during the evaluation process.

WES launched the control systems innovation call on April 5, with the closing date for applications set for June 12, 2017.

The total of 8 assessors are expected to be appointed, including academic, and industrial control systems specialists, innovation and energy specialists, and wave energy specialists.

The overall objective of the WES’ Control Systems program is to design, develop and demonstrate advanced control systems for wave energy converters, and subsystems which will deliver improvements in performance, affordability, survivability and reliability.

The deadline date to apply to control systems advisors tender is set for May 31, 2017.

WES is a subsidiary of Highlands and Islands Enterprise (HIE) established by the Scottish government to advance the wave energy sector in Scotland.
