Malaysia’s offshore crane specialist Handal Resources has been awarded an offshore crane maintenance and service deal with ExxonMobil.

Handal said in a Bursa Malaysia announcement on Thursday that it’s subsidiary Handal Offshore Services entered into a goods and services outline agreement with ExxonMobil.

The company added that the agreement, effective from Monday, April 10, entailed the provision of offshore crane maintenance services for a primary term of three years, ending on April 9, 2020.

The deal also has a one-year extension option, and Handal expects the contract win to contribute positively to an increase in earnings and net assets of the HRB Group for the financial year ending December 31, 2017.

The company highlighted that the Handal Group of companies is continuously looking at replenishing its current order book and that the agreement showed the company’s ability to secure contracts and projects during a challenging time in the o&g industry.
