ZTT in Saudi Aramco Cabling Win

Chinese submarine cable manufacturer ZTT Group received the purchasing contract from EMAS Chiyoda and Saipem and has been confirmed as the bidder of 33kV, 15kV of Hasbah II, Marjan & Zuluf, and Safaniya 10 these three projects from Saudi Aramco with total value of $30 million.

ZTT said it has passed the supplier qualification from Saudi Aramco since 2009 and achieved accumulated submarine cable orders with total amount over $100 million.

“Winning consecutive successful bidding in offshore oil-gas projects from Saudi Aramco marks ZTT has built the brand advantages in the high-end submarine cable markets, and had the strength to compete with the international top-ranking submarine enterprises in the high-tech products,” the company said in a press release.

In January 2017, ZTT also entered into European submarine cable market after being selected by Germany Tennet, as supplier for 155kV submarine cable EPC project.
