Qatar’s Ras Laffan LNG complex shipped a cargo to the South Hook liquefied natural gas terminal in the United Kingdom.
The 266,000 LNG carrier Zarga is scheduled to arrive at South Hook on May 4, the shipping information from the Milford Haven Port Authority shows.
The Q-Max LNG carrier was built in 2010 by Samsung heavy Industries and delivered to its owner, Nakilat, and will be the first vessel to dock at the South Hook terminal in March.
The terminal, located on the shores of the Milford Haven waterway is owned by Qatar Petroleum, ExxonMobil and Total. The facility can process 15.6 million tons of LNG a year and is capable of delivering 21 billion cubic meters of gas a year into the UK’s national transmission system.
According to the gas transmission data from the National Grid, gas flows from the South Hook LNG terminal into the NTS during the morning hours of May 1 were at 25 mcm per day.
