AXYS Technologies has appointed Guillaume Gautier as a Director of Field Services at its French office in Nantes.
Gautier has a Master Degree in Mechanical Engineering, and has held senior roles over the past 14 years at companies providing products and services to the offshore construction, oil and gas and defense industries.
His most recent position was Operations and Production Manager for ALSEAMAR, a France-based high-tech company servicing the defense and offshore industry sectors.
Terry Tarle , President and CEO of AXYS Technologies, said: “Guillaume’s appointment reflects the growing importance of our global fieldwork in the renewables sector. We have seen consistent growth in the utilization of our wave and metocean buoys in sectors such as offshore construction, where we are now deployed on around a quarter of all of the offshore wind farms currently being built in Europe.”
AXYS Technologies is a Canadian company that designs, manufactures and installats remote environmental monitoring systems worldwide.
Last December, AXYS Technologies’ TRIAXYS wave buoy was deployed at Bimep test site in Spain to assess the performance of Marmok-A5 wave energy converter, installed there since October 2016.
