GTT, the French maker of LNG containment systems has received an order from South Korea’s Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering to equip two LNG carriers with its NO96 GW containment system.

DSME shipyard based in Geoje will build the 173,400-cbm vessels on behalf of a European ship-owner, GTT said in a statement, adding that deliveries of the two vessels are expected in 2019.

This is GTT’s first order of LNG carriers from DSME since the beginning of the year. It comes in addition to the order of last February, concerning a floating storage regasification unit also equipped with GTT NO96 technology.
