Swedish energy company Vattenfall and Danish consultancy C2Wind have signed a two-year framework agreement covering design inputs for Vattenfall’s offshore wind projects.

C2Wind’s team of specialists and project leads will provide Vattenfall with support on the design of support structures for offshore wind turbines, as well as site conditions studies and interface management.

Kasper Roed Jensen, Head of Civil and Structural Engineering at Vattenfall, said: “C2Wind have already provided key inputs to our projects, through their extensive experience and calculation capabilities. The framework agreement is a natural step for us to take.”

The Fredericia-based consultancy has so far worked on over 15 realised offshore wind projects for various clients.

C2Wind covers all issues related to integrated aero- and hydrodynamic loads, metocean conditions, loads and certification related issues in the wind turbine contracts, loads and design certification, and overall support structure optimization.
