The Policy and Innovation Group of the Institute for Energy Systems at the University of Edinburgh is seeking to appoint research associate who will participate in a number of marine energy projects.

The Policy and Innovation Group of the Institute for Energy Systems at the University of Edinburgh is seeking to appoint research associate who will participate in a number of marine energy projects.

As a research associate in marine energy, the candidate will be tasked with undertaking analytical research in contribution to a number of national, European and international marine energy R&D projects.

Such projects include ETIP Ocean that will seek to provide a hub for knowledge sharing and collaboration across a diverse group of stakeholders in the marine energy sector; TIPA project whose aim is to reduce the lifetime cost of tidal power by 20%; and Wave Energy Scotland funded cost of energy assessment projects .

The work may include technology analysis, development & deployment roadmap studies, investigation of commercialization pathways, and techno-economic analysis.

The closing date for applications has been set for June 5, 2017.
