2G Robotics has been selected to supply AUV-based laser scanning, stills imaging, and illumination solutions for Hugin autonomous underwater vehicles (AUVs) to be delivered to the Royal Norwegian Navy.
The AUV systems will be delivered by Kongsberg Maritime under the agreement with the Norwegian Defence Materiel Agency (NDMA).
2G Robotics will supply ULS-500 PRO dynamic underwater laser scanner, SeaShot imager stills camera and the SeaShot LED panel – the illumination package designed for AUV integration.
2G Robotics’ dynamic underwater laser scanning solution will be integrated into four Hugin AUV systems and will assist with the detection, classification, and assessment of mines by combining accuracy with real-time data acquisition.
