Oceanteam Solutions has received a letter of intent (LoI) from an unnamed cable producer in Europe for the supply of a vessel, turntable and auxiliary equipment for the transport of cables from South Europe to Scandinavia.
The contract is planned to be executed in summer 2017, the company said.
Oceanteam will also assist during the cable load outs in the appointed ports by supplying cable handling crew and equipment.
The turntable system and auxiliary equipment will be loaded on the vessel at the company’s facilities in Velsen Noord, the Netherlands and shipped to South Europe for transpooling of the cable before heading to Scandinavia for the cable loadout.
The final contract will be concluded in the upcoming months, Oceanteam added.
