Siem to take full ownership in PSV-owning unit

Offshore and subsea shipping company Siem Offshore will buy 49% ownership in Siem Meling Offshore DA (SMODA) from the shipowner O.H. Meling. Offshore and subsea shipping company Siem Offshore will buy 49% ownership in Siem Meling Offshore DA (SMODA) from the shipowner O.H. Meling.

Following the acquisition, Siem Offshore will own 100% of the company SMODA.

As part of the transaction, the 2011-built MPSV vessel Siddis Mariner is sold from SMODA to a company owned by O.H. Meling with effect and delivery May 31, 2017.

SMODA will continue its ownership in the 2010-built PSV Siem Pilot which will start a four-year firm contract for an unnamed customer offshore Canada during July 2017.

According to data on O.H. Meling’s website, SMODA also owns the 2007-built platform supplier Siddis Sailor .
