Denmark’s Northern Offshore Services AS (NOS) has launched M/V Doer, the company’s sixth D-Class series wind farm service vessel (WFSVs).

M/V Doer was designed for use on the toughest offshore wind farm operations by Northern Offshore Services’ own in-house vessel design team in close cooperation with Grovfjord Mek Verksted yard in Norway where the vessel was built.

M/V Doer’s sister vessel, M/V Defender, was delivered from the same shipyard in December 2016.

NOS can exercise options to construct two additional D-Class WFSVs at the Norwegian yard.

The new WFSV went straight from the shipyard to her first assignment on the Race Bank offshore wind farm in the UK for the turbine manufacturer Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy.
