Veripos has secured a contract extension for the supply of global navigation satellite systems (GNSS) services to Allseas Group.

The global contract pertains to Allseas’ fleet of specialized heavy-lift, pipelay and subsea installation vessels, and covers all survey requirements including upgrades to existing hardware in order to facilitate Veripos’ multi-constellation APEX services.

John MacLeod , general manager for EAME at Veripos, said, “Allseas’ expectations for service delivery and system performance are amongst the highest in the industry. The continuation of our relationship with this important customer is a significant milestone for Veripos and reflects our commitment to continuous product development and to the delivery of the highest level of customer support in the industry.”

In addition, Allseas has mobilized Veripos Apex and Ultra services on-board Allseas’ newest and largest construction vessel in the world, the Pioneering Spirit. As part of the mobilization, a performance verification test was carried out.

Veripos’ project manager Anna Ferenc said, “ The recent tests on the Pioneering Spirit went very well. Allseas’ survey department analyzed the positioning data from Apex and Ultra using an RTK Control Point as reference and confirmed that the performance of the services exceeded expectations.”
