RWE Supply & Trading, a unit of German utility RWE, received its first LNG cargo under the supply agreement with the world’s largest LNG producer, Qatargas.

Under the deal, signed in July last year, Qatargas has agreed to deliver 1.1 million tons of LNG per annum for seven and a half years.

The first cargo was delivered in May on the 210,000-cbm Q-Flex LNG vessel Al Karaana to the Dutch Gate terminal in Rotterdam, RWEST said in its statement.

The company added that the discharge of the cargo, shipped from the Qatari Ras Laffan LNG complex, was completed in 16 hours.
