Jan de Nul has completed sea trials of it’s recently-launched multi-purpose vessel Adhémar de Saint-Venant.

The sea trials took place in the Yellow Sea, the company informed through social media.

The Adhémar de Saint-Venant vessel was launched in February from AVIC shipyard in Weihai, China.

The vessel can carry out subsea rock installation through an inclined fall pipe or a flexible fall pipe; subsea trenching, installation of cables and umbilicals and installation works by means of a heave compensated crane.

It is provided with dynamic positioning (DP2) and a fully diesel-electric machinery arrangement, and can accommodate up to 60 people onboard.

In addition, Adhémar de Saint-Venant has a ‘Strength bottom’ class notation, which allows the vessel to be beached for cable installation works in very shallow waters.
