Atlantis Resources is expanding its project delivery team with a new job opening for an Electrical and Control Operations Engineer.

The scope of work for an Electrical and Control Operations Engineer for Atlantis includes day-to-day operation and monitoring of MeyGen’s onshore electrical infrastructure.

The successful candidate will report on tidal turbine and onshore systems performance to MeyGen stakeholders, and assess predicted generation performance of tidal turbines against measured performance.

Atlantis noted the role also entails acting as a work package manager for Electrical and Control work packages for future phases of the MeyGen project and other projects in the Atlantis portfolio.

The closing date for the applications to the position that will be based in Edinburgh has been set for July 6, 2017.

As reported earlier, Atlantis completed the Phase 1A of the MeyGen tidal array project. It included the installation and operation of four tidal turbines, with the total capacity of 6MW.

The construction of the MeyGen’s Phase 1B, also known as the Project Stroma, is scheduled to begin later this year.
