Indonesia: Donggi-Senoro ships 18 LNG cargoes by June

Donggi-Senoro LNG plant in Indonesia has dispatched 18 cargoes of the chilled fuel by June 2 this year.

Donggi-Senoro LNG plant in Indonesia has dispatched 18 cargoes of the chilled fuel by June 2 this year.

Speaking to the media, Aditya Mandala , corporate affair director of the facility said up to 41 cargoes were planned for production during the year, Reuters reports.

Out of the 41 cargoes, 34 have been snapped up by long-term buyers while some of the uncommitted cargoes have been sold on the spot market, he said.

The plant has the capacity to produce up to two million tons per year and has long-term contracts with Chubu Electric, Kyushu Electric and Kogas.

Chubu Electric, that now buys LNG through Jera, the company’s joint venture with Tepco, has booked 1 mpta of the plant’s production capacity. Kyushu Electric has booked 0.3 mtpa while South Korea’s Kogas booked 0.7 mtpa.

The $2.8 billion DSLNG plant, located in the province of Central Sulawesi, is owned by Pertamina Hulu Energy, Medco LNG Indonesia and Sulawesi LNG Development, a joint venture between Mitsubishi Corporation and Kogas.
