Norfolk-based Tidal Transit has secured an extension of the charters for its two crew transfer vessels (CTVs), Tia Elizabeth and Kitty Petra, which will continue servicing the 576MW Gwynt y Môr offshore wind farm.
The two vessels have been operating at Gwynt y Mor off the coast of Wales from its construction period through to O&M phase, and these new charter contracts will see them fully occupied there for up to another five years.
“Tidal Transit’s CTVs have played an important part in the construction and maintenance phases of Gwynt y Mor, for the past 2 years, and securing our longest charters to date is a very proud moment for us,” said Tidal Transit’s Commercial Director Leo Hambro .

Fully commissioned in June 2015, Gwynt y Môr is the second largest operating offshore wind farm in the world, comprising 160 Siemens 3.6MW turbines.
