Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) and BP have said they are moving forward to develop already-discovered deepwater gas fields, bringing new gas production for India.
RIL and BP announced that they will award contracts to progress development of the ‘R-Series’ deep water gas fields in Block KGD6 off the east coast of India. The R-series (D34) project is a dry gas development in water-depths of more than 2,000 metres, approximately 70 kilometres offshore.
Maersk Supply Service has entered into agreements with two yards to postpone delivery of five anchor handling new-buildings and four subsea support vessel new-buildings.
Namely, the company has agreed to postpone delivery of five anchor handling vessels under construction at Kleven Yard in Norway and four subsea support vessels under construction at Cosco, Dalian in China.
TechnipFMC has been awarded an extension to its ongoing engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract from Statoil in the Norwegian North Sea.
The ongoing EPC project covers the provision of subsea equipment including template structure, manifold and two subsea trees including wellheads and modifications of control systems to the Visund Nord improved oil recovery project, whereas the extension includes installation of the template structure and manifold as well as delivery and installation of flowline spool and umbilical.
Jan De Nul Group has been contracted by the Icelandic electrical transmission company Landsnet for an urgent cable repair between Westman Island and the main land of Iceland.
The repair is planned to be undertaken in June using the cable installation vessel Isaac Newton, which was mobilized from Canada to Europe, Jan de Nul informed.
McDermott has recently celebrated a milestone with the load-out and installation of the first jacket fully fabricated by the company at its recently-opened Dammam fabrication yard in Saudi Arabia.
The Safaniya 264 jacket is part of McDermott’s long term agreement II (LTA II) scope of work with Saudi Aramco.
