The U.S. authorities will on Wednesday hold a lease sale offering more than a million acres for exploration in Alaska’s Cook Inlet.
The lease sale “Cook Inlet Oil & Gas Lease Sale 244“ will be live streamed.
The U.S. Bureau of Ocean Energy Management (BOEM) began accepting sealed bids May 18, and closed bidding today on June 20 at 10 a.m. Alaska Time.
During the bidding period, 1 company submitted 14 bids on 14 blocks.
Bid reading will be made public via a live webstream. The webstream will come online and be accessible beginning at 9:30 a.m. Alaska Time.
The bid reading will begin at 10 a.m. Alaska Time. Totals for the sale will be announced as soon as the bids are tallied at the end of the webstream.
Evaluation of bids for fair market value will take place over the next 90 days.
