Offshore marine services provider Global Maritime has appointed Oliver Stettner as Country Manager for Indonesia.

Stettner will be tasked with growing Global Maritime’s Indonesian business as well as spearheading the company’s renewables efforts across the Asia Pacific.

Anna Keen , Asia Pacific Regional Manager at Global Maritime, said: “We are delighted that Oliver will be leading our Indonesian operations and helping drive new business. His expertise in offshore wind will also be particularly beneficial as we look to ramp up operations in that area.”

Stettner holds M.Sc. degrees in Offshore and Dredging Engineering from Delft University of Technology and in Wind Energy from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology, and has extensive experience in hydrodynamic and structural analysis and marine warranty surveying, particularly in the offshore wind industry.

Global Maritime specializes in marine warranty, dynamic positioning and engineering services in the offshore and marine sectors.

As reported earlier, Global Maritime is providing mooring and risk management support for the European Union’s OPERA project that aims to halve the cost of wave energy.
