Norwegian oil major Statoil has received consent from the country’s offshore safety body, the Petroleum Safety Authority (PSA), to use the Sigyn subsea facilities.
The Sigyn gas, condensate, and light oil field is in Statoil-operated production license 072, offshore Norway. Production on the field began in 2002.
Sigyn has been developed using a subsea well template. The well stream is transported to Statoil’s Sleipner A platform 12 kilometers northwest of the well template. Exxon is responsible for reservoir management. The field is 222 kilometers west of Stavanger and the water depth in the area in 70 meters.
In 2015, the average production 18 million cubic feet of gas per day and 2,400 barrels of condensate per day.
The PSA said that Statoil has now been granted consent to use the Sigyn subsea facilities.
