Gibson Applied Technology & Engineering (GATE Energy) has entered into a memorandum of understanding with Canyon Offshore.

The two companies will work together on jointly offering subsea blockage prevention, detection and remediation solutions to the offshore oil and gas industry.

Both parties anticipate that this alliance would offer effective and integrated blockage solutions using GATE Energy’s flow assurance engineering and patented technical solutions, combined with Canyon Offshore’s vessel and ROV assets.

Canyon Offshore is the robotics subsidiary of Helix Energy Solutions Group, an international offshore energy company that provides specialty services to the offshore energy industry.

On the other hand, GATE Energy provides scalable, bespoke services for the energy sector including project management, engineering, commissioning, field services, and manpower staffing services.

It is worth reminding that GATE Energy recently acquired Mid-South Rental and Completion Services (MSRCS), a company headquartered in Youngsville, LA.
