Bulker Zhen Bang Arrested in Singapore

A Panamax bulk carrier has been detained in Singapore waters, Supreme Court of Singapore’s data shows. A Panamax bulk carrier has been detained in Singapore waters, Supreme Court of Singapore’s data shows.

The 79,400 dwt Zhen Bang, operated by Grand China Logistics, was arrested at around 11:00 A.M on July 12, 2017.

The reason for the bulker’s detention was not disclosed.

Focal Investigation & Security Agency has been appointed for security and investigation purposes related to the arrest of Zhen Bang, which was built at China’s Jinhai Heavy Industry shipyard in 2015.

Market value of the Hong Kong-flagged ship currently stands at USD 17.48 million, according to information provided by VesselsValue.

As of July 13, Zhen Bang’s AIS data indicate it is anchored in Singapore area.
