ECA Group has delivered a 1000-meter depth rated H800 ROV system as a main tool for the maintenance of the underwater structures belonging to the Pacific Beachcomber SC company in French Polynesia.

The Beachcomber group owns two hotels in the Tahiti surroundings, one in Bora-Bora atoll and the Brando hotel in Tetiora atoll. Both hotels are equipped with a sea water air conditioning (SWAC) system, using seawater pumped at 860m depth at 3°C temperature as a cooling source. Such underwater system requires on-going maintenance with tools able to perform tasks at this depth.

ECA Group H800-INS ROV will be used as a key tool for the maintenance of Beachcomer’s hotels SWAC systems.

In addition, the ROV will be further used as a maintenance tool for the underwater structures to be completed in Polynesia, such as a domestic internet cable network, and the SWAC system of the public hospital.

This ROV system was delivered in spring 2017, further to training and sea trials which were conducted in the Mediterranean sea.
