RigNet, a global provider of communications solutions for the offshore oil and gas industry, has acquired substantially all of the assets of Data Technology Solutions (DTS).
DTS is a private Louisiana-based company providing communications and IT services to the onshore, offshore, and maritime industries, as well as disaster relief solutions.
RigNet said on Monday that, under the asset purchase agreement, former DTS assets would be used to drive growth, innovation, and customer engagement.
The company added that the assets would be fully integrated to strengthen its ability to create innovative, time-saving, fully-certified communications solutions. This asset acquisition also expanded the portfolio of connectivity solutions with 4G WiMax networks based in Texas, North Louisiana, and North Dakota.
