ASV Global has completed the mobilization of a C-Worker 5 autonomous surface vessel (ASV) in Alaska for TerraSond.
This will be ASV Global’s third consecutive year on contract with TerraSond for Alaskan hydrographic survey operations for the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA).
The survey is scheduled for approximately two months of operations alongside the vessel Qualifier 105 which departed Homer for operations near Sand Point in Alaska.
On the last expedition ASV Global and TerraSond marked an industry first for unmanned hydrographic surveys by completing a 5172 nautical mile hydrographic survey in the Bering Sea, off Alaska in 2016.
