MPI Offshore’s wind turbine installation vessel MPI Enterprise has installed 44 out of 54 Senvion 6.2M126 wind turbines at the 332MW Nordsee One offshore wind farm in the German North Sea, Canada’s Northland Power reports.

MPI Enterprise installed the wind farm’s first turbine in March 2017.

Turbine installation will continue in parallel with the progressive commissioning of the wind turbines.

Installation of all 54 Nordsee One wind turbines is expected to be completed by the end of 2017, Northland Power said.

Nordsee One, located approximately 40 kilometres north of Juist Island, is being developed by Nordsee One GmbH, a special purpose company owned by Northland Power Inc. (85%) and innogy SE (15%).
