Royal IHC and Dutch Dredging have joined forces to upgrade the pump room on the trailing suction hopper dredger Amazone.
Both companies worked together in close cooperation to design a drive train capable of reducing its loading time by more than 30%.
“IHC is the only service provider capable of supplying all of the services required for the project in-house. As a result, we assisted throughout the project, inclusive of the design, engineering, hardware supply, docking support and commissioning,” the company said in its announcement.
Dutch Dredging, the owner of this 2.771m³ TSHD, is a medium size dredging company, based in Sliedrecht in the Netherlands. The total scope of activities consists of dredging, surveying and related marine operations.
